2015 Visitors Guide Launch/ Open Day

Inishowen Tourism welcomed new and existing members to their Open Day on Wednesday 13th of May. The Launch of the 2015 Visitor Guide enabled local business providers to meet the team at Inishowen Tourism and gain valuable insight of the service.

New Team members have come onboard at Inishowen Tourism this year. The open day presented the opportunity to meet and greet business members in a relaxed atmosphere over a cup of tea/coffee and scone. Pooling ideas, sharing visitor experiences that enhance the promotional activity along the Wild Atlantic Way in Inishowen were all themes to discuss with members. Good communication is paramount to ensure that the visitor is satisfied with our products and services, and that business member providing this valuable service is supported in terms of the current and future product offering. With this in mind, a feedback sheet was available on the day to encourage business members to express their concerns and put forward suggestions with a view to activating these, and research new areas for future development.

The 2015 Visitor Guide provides visitors with up-to-date and relevant information in a way that is easy to follow, interesting and accessible. It combines new content, re-designed with new imaginary that compliments the graphic delivery. It can be accessed online to download, or delivered as a personal service with a warm Inishowen welcome (printed version in the office) - see more at: http://www.visitinishowen.com

The Tourist Office is the first port of call for the visitor to the Inishowen Peninsula and utilises its central location at Railway Road, Buncrana to showcase the tourism product offering. Members provide valuable feedback in terms of service provision to the visitor during their stay. Inishowen Tourism can promote all the attractions and facilities with a personable approach and give detailed information to enhance the visitor experience, with a view to increase dwell time in the peninsula.

The digital campaign centred on the website correlates with the print media articles to promote Inishowen. The blog and face book creates a platform highlighting events and activities that visitors can participate in. Linking in with local broadcast media, Inishowen Tourism promotes their members and the destination as a whole at various events, trade fairs, and festivals both locally and abroad.
